Nine matches are on the schedule, and the focus falls squarely on the Friday night double-header, where our model has published forecasts for Arminia Bielefeld’s clash with FC St. Pauli and Hannover’s meeting with Karlsruher SC. Saturday
Saturday’s four matches kick off at 11:00 BST, with Holstein Kiel hosting 1. FC Nürnberg. Both sides will be looking to find consistency in the early weeks, and the model’s forecast for this fixture is still to come. At the same time, 1. FC Kaiserslautern entertain SV Darmstadt 98 in a clash between two clubs with promotion ambitions. The forecast will be published closer to kickoff. VfL Wolfsburg, the Bundesliga side now in the second tier, face Energie Cottbus at the Volkswagen Arena; again, no model call is available yet. The late kickoff on Saturday sees Dynamo Dresden take on VfL Bochum at 18:30 BST. The forecast for that encounter is also pending.
Sunday
Sunday’s three matches begin at 11:30 BST. SpVgg Greuther Fürth meet 1. FC Heidenheim, with the forecast yet to be released. Hertha BSC, still adjusting to second-tier life, welcome 1. FC Magdeburg to the Olympiastadion; the model’s call will be available later. Finally, VfL Osnabrück face Eintracht Braunschweig in a Lower Saxony derby. The forecast for this one is also to come.
